Tree Root Removal in Surrey
Most of the time, grinding the stump is enough and the roots can stay in the ground. If you want them out, we can do that.
When roots need to come out
- Building an extension, a garage or a shed base
- Laying a patio, path or driveway
- Roots lifting paving or a lawn
- Digging new beds or a pond
- Roots growing towards drains
If you're just turfing or planting, grinding the stump is usually enough.
How we do it
We do root work with our stump grinders. If your job needs a digger, we're happy to work alongside one.
Tell us you want roots out when you get in touch, so we can include it in the price.
Will the roots grow back?
Most trees die once they're felled and the stump is ground out. A few, such as sycamore, poplar, willow and cherry, can send up new shoots from the roots for a while. Cut or pull them off as they appear and they'll stop.
Roots and drains
We can remove roots growing towards a drain. Roots already inside the pipe need a drainage company to clear them.
